£155.00 exc. VAT

Developed for vehicles requiring maximum fuel flow but optimum filtration, our obp Motorsport Fuel Filter Canister is ideal for use with high performance engines.

Manufactured from a billet section of 6061 aluminum, the filter canister is home to a 20 & 100 micron (replaceable) filter element.

The obp Fuel Filter has a larger volumetric internal than other leading brands on the market which allows for a larger surface area within the filter for higher performance. Each end of the canister is machined with an AN10 (7/8 UNF) Female port to allow fitment of a range of adaptors from AN6 to AN12 to suit various sized fuel hoses within your application.

The filter has been developed and extensively tested with one of the leading performance car manufacturers on road, on track and competitive racing.

With a separating end cap, the filter housing can be disassembled to replace the inner filter (Available Separately) and to be cleaned when necessary.

This item is finished in polished black anodizing and laser etched with the obp Motorsport Logo.

obp Motorsport Fuel Filter Help and Advice
Fuel filters are rated in microns. A micron is a unit of measurement, equivalent to .000039 inches. (39 Millionths of an inch.)  Put  this into perspective, a human hair is about 100 microns in diameter.
Anything less than about 30-40 microns  can no longer be seen with the naked eye. A ’10 micron’ filter will block contaminants larger than 10 microns, and let those smaller than 10 microns pass.
The filter before your pump serves mainly to protect the fuel pump. Depending on the pump, usually a 30-100 Micron filter is used here. The filter after the pump serves to protect the injectors and needs to be much finer.
A 10 micron filter is generally sufficient for fuel rail filtration. Stay away from small diameter fuel filters, the least bit of contamination and they’re clogged enough to be a major restriction in the system.
The obp Fuel Filter Canister & Filter has a large surface area for the filter to work to maximum efficiency with minimum reduction in fuel flow. The correct sized fuel filter canister system will require less cleaning or replacement filters than the smaller inefficient type of fuel filters.
